Vector marking

+
With the vector marking the laser beam is deflected by two moveable mirrors - this causes a movement of the beam in X and Y direction on the workpiece. The beam is guided by a lens system and focussed on the workpiece. The mirrors guide the beam at high speed (several metres per second) across the workpiece, and the laser beam 'draws' the required markings on the surface. The image is made up of numerous lines (vectors).

The mirror movements are operated by a closed-loop control and are monitored by a position monitoring system. With the marking software drawings can be easily created and altered.
